During a long period od the her life, especially in latter years, Botequim was the centre of the writer's life, with her being the greatest personality of the salon that gathered around her.

The traditional "Erlebnisreisen" series on WDR television will be continued at irregular intervals, featuring reports on local and distant destinations. The basic idea is that a reporter - representing the viewers - explores a region, visits sights, and meets people.
