This documentary follows a handful of British pilots as they go through the elite training necessary to become the country's finest Air Force aces. For almost the whole of 2002, 208 Squadron was host to a BBC documentary team as they followed the progress of one of our courses from Ground school through to the end of the Tactical Weapons training on 19 Squadron. Combat Pilot was broadcast nationally in early 2004 and gave a detailed insight into the Squadron’s activities at the time and a valuable historic record.

For two weeks, the aircraft carrier strike group Carrier Strike Group 8 is conducting one of the toughest exercises in the US Navy. The tactical cooperation of several crews from three different nations is paramount in this training exercise. The 7,000 sailors on board are repeatedly subjected to gunfire and attacks. The programme was produced by Mosaic Films first for Carlton Television, and later for ITV London and Sky Travel. To date, there have been three series produced, including a two-part special on the 7 July 2005 London bombings. The series is now sometimes repeated, mostly on Pick TV.
