Wildside is an Australian police procedural television series broadcast on the ABC from 1997 to 1999. The show consisted of a one hour format that followed police interactions in inner Sydney. It starred Rachael Blake, Tony Martin, Richard Carter and Alex Dimitriades. Mary Coustas joined the series in a regular role late in its run, appearing in the last ten episodes. The series was filmed in Sydney. It was characterised by its use of ad lib dialogue and hand held camera work. It won several Logie Awards, including Silver Logies for outstanding work by Rachael Blake and Tony Martin for acting, as well as the Most Outstanding Miniseries Logie in 1998. It was also nominated for several Australian Film Institute Awards. A rerun of the series began in Australia on ABC1 in the early hours of Friday mornings, starting in September 2008.

About 150,000 illegal entrants live in Tokyo. They are not recognised as refugees and live in poor conditions. To protect themselves, the illegals create a secret organisation. Keen Eddie is an American action, comedy-drama television series that aired in 2003 on the Fox Network. The series follows a brash NYPD detective who goes to London when one of his cases goes sour and remains to work with New Scotland Yard. The basic premise of the show bears a close resemblance to the popular 1980s British series Dempsey & Makepeace, the only notable difference being that the female partner has been replaced by a female housemate. Stylistically, the series derived inspiration from British feature films by Guy Ritchie, such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. The soundtrack and incidental music for the first episode was provided by British techno duo Orbital. Daniel Ash of Love and Rockets scored the rest of the series.

Tien-Fu Liu, a tycoon who is well connected in politics and business, and his son, Won-Tsung Liu, have been buying and selling large amounts of illicit drugs. Cheng-Hsien Lee (a police officer of Criminal Investigation Division) is instructed by his superior officer, Yao-Wei Lee (Chief of No. 1 Team of Criminal Investigation Division), to be an undercover to investigate the illegal activities of Tien-Fu Liu and Cheng Long Group. In the police's effort to crack down on Cheng Long Group, several policemen and policewomen shed their blood; however, Cheng Long Group, with great ties in politics and business through money, is not so easy to be destroyed. In the process, Cheng-Hsien found out that Tien-Fu Liu was the person who killed his father. In the meantime, another serious crime takes place and Cheng-Hsien, who has been utterly devoted to his job, immediately engages in a battle with the criminals so as to defend justice against evil and injustice. Many episodes would end with McGarrett instructing his subordinate to "Book 'em, Danno!", sometimes specifying a charge such as "murder one".
