Get Real was a short-lived comedy-drama on the FOX Network centering on the fictional Green family of Los Angeles. It ran from September 1999 to April 2000. It starred Eric Christian Olsen and Anne Hathaway in very early roles, as the older siblings to central character of the series, youngest child, Kenny.
Set in a small, rural town, the show is about two friends, actors Zo In-sung and Cha Tae-hyun, running a supermarket for 10 days. They not only sell goods, but also operate small restaurant, where they cook and serve dishes. The two actors, who lived their whole lives in the city, experience life in the small town and blend into the neighborhood.
Dad! Where Are We Going? is a South Korean reality show featuring celebrity fathers and their small children as they travel to rural places and undertake camping "missions". Other versions of the show have since been made in China, Vietnam, Russia, and Japan.
A&E Network focuses its "Storage Wars" cameras on the Big Apple (and the surrounding tri-state area), where a new group of auction bidders roll the dice by buying abandoned storage units. They hope, of course, that a winning bid leads them to a treasure trove of items inside a unit, but they're just as likely to be left with a load of trash. Nine challengers are abandoned at a remote tropical island, with no maps or tools, miles away from civilization. In teams of three, they must swim to different ecosystems on the same island – sun-scorched beach, twisted mangrove swamp and dense jungle – to begin their distinct survival journeys.
